I celebrate myself.
I sing myself.
What I see is a gleaming flower blowing in the wind.
But, the mirror image of me is somewhat different.
My heart cries out for love and happiness, but the eye only sees pain.
My soul is filled with sadness that only separation can bring.
Have I cared so much for everyone I’ve ever met so that beginning a new life is too much sorrow for me to bear?
I look to the heavens.
I smile.
This is but a season that soon will pass.
I will celebrate and sing contentedly once again, a gleaming flower blowing in the wind.
