Give me a pill and I'll feel better. Give me a drink so I'll forget. Give me a cig. It'll help my nerves. Ugh! I can hardly take a breath. Let me have sex, I need someone to love me. As a matter of fact, I can't get enough. What is your name? Oh, yes. I remember! Could you pass me my pills so I'll forget and don't forget a drink to wash them down!

Come as you are... get what you need.

Real Life Questions will become a thing of the past but will be archived on the lefthand side of the page in case you are interested.  We all have real issues to face each and every day and they can be tough to handle. We will attempt to use this section of the site to deal with those.  Hate, anger, biotry and jealousy are just a few of the things we will endeavor to address .  We at Jesuswithoutthejunk don't all go around with '24 hour' a day smiles slapped on our faces just because we are trying to follow a living Savior.

Proverbs 37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

There is much to be said for growing up into the things of Christ.  When you first get saved, you are a baby Christian.  You are just learning about God and His ways but as you develop and grow into the things of God, the Holy Spirit matures you and reveals more of God to you.  When you ask God for things (and believe me I have asked God for everything that I ever desired), a lot of times you ask amiss because you are young and just think, well, “He said ask and He will give, so I will.”  But if you will continue with Christ (He won’t let you go in and grab what you want and escape), there will come a time when you will ask the Father what you desire and He will let you have it.  By that time, you won’t ask silly things but you will ask for things that God has already placed in you.  When you ask Him for desires, He gives them to you because it is His will that you have them anyway. By this time, you are ready to receive them and He knows you can handle them.  THEN, and only then, does He give you the desires of your heart.  Just because you ask Him for anything doesn’t mean you are going to get it.  If the desire is in your destiny and journey of life, He will give it you.  There are a lot of people who think they can ask for whatever they want and God is going to let them have it….they are wrong.  There was a woman I knew who desired to have a lot of money so she could help others.  She put a sticky note on her mirror every morning and claimed this money.  She had gone to God in prayer and told Him she wanted this money to help others.  She never got it, to my knowledge.  There is a scripture that says you haven’t received because you ask amiss (James 2-3).  If you are lusting after someone or something and it wouldn’t be good for you to have, God won’t give it to you.  Then, sometimes He lets you have things you really shouldn’t because you won’t listen to Him and this is the only way He can get your attention.  So be wise when you ask God for things.  Make certain of what you ask God for.  Is it a want or God's will?

What does it mean to lose your life to Christ and save your soul?

When I first began my Crosswalk, I was reading in the Bible one evening and came across a scripture that I really didn’t understand. The scripture was Matthew 16:25 which says, “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”   I really didn’t like that scripture because I didn’t want to lose my life.  Too much of my life had already been lost.  I wanted so desperately to find my life.  I can assure you that this scripture is coming to pass in my life as I am willing to give up control to the Holy Spirit.  As you start to give up yourself to the ways of God, you will start to lose the old nature that you have, but mind you, it is a process. Change in some areas comes quickly and sometimes it doesn’t.  When you accept Christ as your Savior, the process begins.  The process will continue only if you are OBEDIENT to learn God and His ways.  As you go along, you will lose who you use to be and you will find your life. I never thought I would be doing what I am doing, but I received revelation as I went along and was faithful…You will find YOUR life as you lose it to the will of Christ.  The Holy Spirit will reveal the deep things of God to you that have been hidden and are waiting for you to discover.

What does it mean that Jesus is our Advocate in Heaven?

Because Jesus Christ died on a cross for us, having no sin, He was raised up to sit at the right hand of God, the Father, in Heaven.  Every time Satan comes up before God accusing us of sin, Jesus is standing there telling God that we are washed in "The Blood of the Lamb" and we are assured of being forgiven by the Father.  Let me give you a different way of thinking of this.  Pretend there is a courtroom in Heaven and God is sitting at the bench as the Judge.  Jesus is on one side of the room as our lawyer.  He is pleading our innocence through His Blood that He shed for us.  Satan is on the other side of the room slandering our names and blaspheming us to God, trying to convince God that we are not worthy of His forgiveness.  So, in other words, He is in Heaven, ever interceding for us before the Father as long as we have accepted Him as our Savior. (Hebrews 7:25).

What is so important about the Blood of Jesus?

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin (Hebrews 9:22).  In the Old Testament we were under the law, which is called the Old Covenant.  Animals would have to be sacrificed on the altar at the temple by the appointed Priest to atone for your sins (Leviticus 17:11).  Sin had to be and has to be atoned for even in the day in which we live.  God created this earth and we live by the rules He established.  When God sent Jesus, His Son, to die on a cross for us at Calvary, that was the last time spilling of blood had to take place in order for us to be forgiven.  If we accept Christ as our Savior and we repent for our sins, we are forgiven.  It was "The Blood of Christ" that made the offering for us once for all.  Because of this, animals do not have to be slaughterd anymore.
