Give me a pill and I'll feel better. Give me a drink so I'll forget. Give me a cig. It'll help my nerves. Ugh! I can hardly take a breath. Let me have sex, I need someone to love me. As a matter of fact, I can't get enough. What is your name? Oh, yes. I remember! Could you pass me my pills so I'll forget and don't forget a drink to wash them down!

 Real Issues
Come as you are... get what you need.

Real Life Questions will become a thing of the past but will be archived on the lefthand side of the page in case you are interested.  We all have real issues to face each and every day and they can be tough to handle. We will attempt to use this section of the site to deal with those.  Hate, anger, biotry and jealousy are just a few of the things we will endeavor to address .  We at Jesuswithoutthejunk don't all go around with '24 hour' a day smiles slapped on our faces just because we are trying to follow a living Savior.

What is being Baptised in the Holy Spirit?

I believe accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior is the most important thing in a person’s life.  I was raised in church but I really do not know if I was saved earlier in my life.  Today, I am certain I am saved.  To me, my future is set.  When I close my eyes for the last time on earth, I KNOW I will go to Heaven for eternity.  But, then there is a water baptism which is done as an outward symbol of your faith and is done as an act of obedience.  Then there is baptism in the Holy Spirit.  (Acts 1:5)  Being baptized in the Holy Spirit gives you the power you need to face life with Jesus while you are here.  There is a marked difference in this area.  It helps give you a passion and zeal to accomplish the works that God places before you.  It also helps you to “do” God on earth because it is not easy to truly walk this walk.  I have seen people who are saved, yet carry on like they just don’t get it:  They have blank stares on their faces, their lives are still empty and they behave as if anything goes.  You don’t see them bearing any fruit.  They act as if God isn’t alive.  Sometimes I wonder if they are really saved.  If you feel that God is just about a church service, then you need to go to the Father and ask Him to reveal to you about being baptized in the Holy Spirit.  Don’t just guess about it, ask Him.  If your life hasn’t shown or doesn’t show any marked difference once you feel you have been saved, something isn’t right.
