Give me a pill and I'll feel better. Give me a drink so I'll forget. Give me a cig. It'll help my nerves. Ugh! I can hardly take a breath. Let me have sex, I need someone to love me. As a matter of fact, I can't get enough. What is your name? Oh, yes. I remember! Could you pass me my pills so I'll forget and don't forget a drink to wash them down!

 Real Issues
Come as you are... get what you need.

Real Life Questions will become a thing of the past but will be archived on the lefthand side of the page in case you are interested.  We all have real issues to face each and every day and they can be tough to handle. We will attempt to use this section of the site to deal with those.  Hate, anger, biotry and jealousy are just a few of the things we will endeavor to address .  We at Jesuswithoutthejunk don't all go around with '24 hour' a day smiles slapped on our faces just because we are trying to follow a living Savior.

Is it a Sin to drink wine?

You know, I have been back and forth on this little item several times in my own walk with Christ….This, after all of the years of walking with the Lord, is what I have concluded for my life:  The Bible teaches in Ephesians 5:18 to not be drunk with wine but be filled with the spirit.  Then in 1 Peter 5:8 he tells us to be sober for our adversary (the devil) walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Then again in 1 Timothy 5:23 Paul was telling Timothy to drink a little wine for his stomach and his infirmities.  It is mentioned several other times as well.  Now, for me, I have learned that I cannot be drunk, whether it is wine or any other form of alcohol.  But I have been led to drink a little wine because it is good for the heart and stomach.  I don’t use it to any excess and the times I do drink it, the Holy Spirit leads me.  I do take communion every morning with wine.  Each has to determine in his own heart how and what to do.  If I was offered a glass of wine while out dining, I might take some.  It just depends on many factors for me, but I don’t condemn anyone for it and you should not as well.  As long as you don’t get falling down sloppy drunk, it is a matter between you and the Holy Spirit.

What does Semper Fi mean?

“Semper Fi” is short form of the Latin “Semper Fidelis” which means in English “Always Faithful”.  It is also a term used by the US Marines.  As it applies to this ministry we are “always faithful” to do what the Lord would have us to do to glorify His name and the Gospel of Jesus Christ speaking the truth always..

Is there a Bible Code?

I do believe that yes there is a Bible Code. There have been many scholars who have dedicated their lives to seeking out this truth.  I believe that God is so infinite in His wisdom that He has encrypted a code in the Bible that is waiting to be unveiled. Who am I to say this could not be done?

What is the Wailing Wall of Jerusalem?

The Wailing Wall of Jerusalem is the last standing wall of the temple that was built by King David’s son Solomon.  This wall is thought to be a significant holy place in Jerusalem where God hears the prayers of anyone who prays there.  People travel from all over the world to get to this place.  Remember though God teaches not to hold such places in high regard letting them become idols to you.  You can pray to God wherever you are and HE will hear.  It is a matter of your heart not a place that reaches through to the Heavens and the throne of your Father.

Why is the Bible called the Living Word?

When I heard the saying that the Bible was the living word I didn’t realize at the time what that meant.  I had seen the movie The Never Ending Story.  In the beginning of the movie, the camera panned on a giant book that contained an eyeball that moved all around.  All I could think of at the time was that that book was somehow alive.  (And yes, I do realize it was only a movie.) When I came to Christ, I became born-again.  I began my Crosswalk as a baby and had to mature into the things of Christ.  When I first started reading the Word, I had no idea what was inside except that Jesus was crucified.  The Word, not at first mind you, started to come alive in my spirit the more I discovered what was in it.  At different times and seasons of my walk, the same scriptures I had been raised on, so to speak, would be given new and deeper levels of meaning to me by the Holy Spirit.  I realized then that the book I had taken for granted as just some “dreaded reading” was more than just words on pages. Through time, I came to understand it was truly alive and one of the ways in which Gods uses to talk to us..
