Euthanasia
There seems to be quite a lot of discussion in our society today concerning the right-to-die issue, i.e., euthanasia. At one time, there was a doctor (who will remain unnamed) who went around killing the sick and suffering by lethal injection. Well, frankly, I thought in some cases, it might be a good thing. Then when I really starting walking with Christ and learned what was in His Word, I felt something completely different. I realized that God is God. He is the ONE who breathed life into Adam to begin the human race(a 47 million year old reptile named Ida didn’t), so only He has a right to say what happens with our life. Just as easily as He gives life, He has the authority to take it from us. Why are we not listening to what He says? God tells us in Genesis 1:26 “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.
He tells us in Exodus 20:13 “You shall not murder.” God is clear. I have seen people who suffer greatly. My own dad died with terminal cancer. It ate him up from the top of his head to the souls of his feet. We have a responsibility to get you the truth from a biblical perspective as well as divine revelation. I have discovered that God is bigger than I will ever know. I have discovered that God’s way of doing things is always for my benefit and for my own good. There are no quick fixes with God most of the time. I try never to box Him in with my way of doing life. I go to the Word of God first. Then I pray about it and am led by the Holy Spirit to arrive at a clear understanding of everyday life issues but it isn’t always what I want to hear. However, I do believe that we have a responsibility to uphold what God says in the Word if we are to continue this effort of telling others the truth in a simple and clear way. Either we believe Him or we don’t, but to take a very life that was divinely given, whether walking with Christ or not, I believe is from the pit of hell. We did not issue the life force that is in us and we shouldn’t be able to take it….there are no exceptions. Euthanasia? That is not a human choice.
