Give me a pill and I'll feel better. Give me a drink so I'll forget. Give me a cig. It'll help my nerves. Ugh! I can hardly take a breath. Let me have sex, I need someone to love me. As a matter of fact, I can't get enough. What is your name? Oh, yes. I remember! Could you pass me my pills so I'll forget and don't forget a drink to wash them down!

 Real Issues
Come as you are... get what you need.

Real Life Questions will become a thing of the past but will be archived on the lefthand side of the page in case you are interested.  We all have real issues to face each and every day and they can be tough to handle. We will attempt to use this section of the site to deal with those.  Hate, anger, biotry and jealousy are just a few of the things we will endeavor to address .  We at Jesuswithoutthejunk don't all go around with '24 hour' a day smiles slapped on our faces just because we are trying to follow a living Savior.

I hear others talk and talk about the anointing of Christ.  I hear them say “ a person is anointed.”  What is the anointing of Christ?   The anointing of Jesus Christ is not some word to toss around casually.  The anointing is a very serious matter.  We take this term too lightly. It has almost become “the new buzz word” in Christianity.  The actual anointing of Christ is what is given by the Lord to an individual as He sees fit in order to accomplish His will in the earthly arena. The anointing is the actual POWER of Christ that comes through an individual.  It is ONLY the anointing that heals, sets free and breaks the yokes of the enemy on a person's life.  A clear description of this anointing is found in Luke 4: 18-19.

It is only the anointing that can do what mere man cannot do.  There are many who think they have the anointing of Christ upon their lives but they don’t.  When the anointing of Christ is present, signs and wonders will follow.  Be careful in the days we are in because not everyone who says he or she is anointed, actually possess the anointing.  Make certain of who you follow and to whom you are listening.  If they truly possess the anointing of Christ, it will be made clear not only by what they say but also by the actual facts and acts of the Holy Spirit through their life.  If you are in doubt in a situation, pray and ask God to reveal to you the truth of who “is the real deal” and He will.

The scripture that we need to look at is:

Hebrews 4:12  For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

To correlate the Bible to a sword is a very interesting matter.  I used to think the Bible was just words on a page, but it is so much more than that.  The words contained between the covers of the Bible are living and breathing. When they are applied through the Holy Spirit’s anointing, they can “cut through” all things in a person’s spirit and soul that are not from God, revealing the intents of the heart.  The Word itself mirrors what God intends for us to be, not only His child but what I call “ a fruitful and loving human being. “  If there is something in your life contradictory to the Word, it will be exposed for what it truly is.  The Word will actually cut through worldly, wrong thinking and expose the truth of any matter.

I have imagined a sharp sword with two edges slicing right down the middle of my chest, laying open and revealing the real heart in me.  The Bible teaches everything we need to know about parenting, finances (treasures) and earthly desires.  We can go to the Word of God and count on it telling us the truth.  If we are caught in a web of deceit by the devil and society, the Bible can get us back on track by “cutting through” all of the things not good for us.  It unveils the evil and wickedness to show the path to take. It is not some weird thing; it is real and it works.

As we become older, we become hardened to “the sword,” thinking we know it all but we don’t.  I would suggest to anyone they go to the Word as a first recourse about anything in their life.  Let it mirror how you manage all areas of your life.  Allow it to cut out what doesn’t need to be there and replace it with the things of God that are good for you.  (click for Knights Of  The Sword)

Boy, this question is a real lifer!!!  There are those who believe that when you get saved, everything just becomes peachy keen or wine and roses.  They believe that they can just name and claim anything they want and it will magically just fall from the sky.  They believe that everything will be good.  Well, this is one of the biggest misnomers in the Body of Christ today and it is time that someone says as much.

When you look at others on TV they seem so happy.  They seem to be “put together.”  They seem like they have got it all going on.  Well, I want some of that, don’t you?  But, what I find happening as I walk in the world, is that people are trying to imitate others on TV. They think that their lives will be all happy and joyous when they accept Christ as their Savior.  Yes, Jesus came to set the captive free indeed.  And, yes, God does want you happy, truly happy but it will take effort on your part.  A lot depends on where you are in your life at the time you get saved by the Lord.  It might take time to turn some things around in your life and in some cases take years, depending on your situation, to overcome some of the mess you have gotten into to. You need to get this.  But, there is NO other place any better for you to be than walking with Christ.

God will get you settled in your life no matter where you are, what you are doing, or what you have experienced.  God tells us that He gives it to us a little at a time (Isaiah 28:10).  Explain to God what is in your heart.  Leave no stone unturned.  He already knows where you are, but He wants you to tell Him.  Acknowledging where you are in your life is the first big step.  He can turn your whole life around but you have to be open and honest with Him.  He is NOT, and I repeat NOT, going to just zap you and make it all better.  There will be times when He gives you things suddenly to help you and other times that He withholds things in order to prepare you to receive what He has coming.  Let God be God and you will be happy.  It is when we try and sit on the throne that we become disgruntled with God.  He has your life mapped out and His plan is best; just turn your heart over to Him.  The choice is up to you.  God is not going to make you do anything…..I can tell you from experience that God is the only one who has truly made me happy.  He wants you to have good things as well but it might take some time.  Be obedient and let the Holy Spirit guide you into God’s “rest” for your life where you will be truly happy.
