I.O.U.

Life is not easy.  As a matter of fact, Jesus tells us that in this life we will have tribulations but to take heart for He has overcome this world (John 16:33). What does that mean to us?  It means that life is going to deal us some hard blows but if we believe in Christ,  He can and will see you through them.  I honestly don’t know how people make it through without Jesus.  I look at my life now with total gratitude for the God who loved me enough to come after me and help me.  I thought I had it going on, but I didn’t.

I look at humans.  We all have something that is going on in our lives.  It is my job to let you know that you don’t have to stay where you are.  You can come out of any problem you face today but it will be up to you to do it.

Satan is rising in his efforts to stop God’s children and a lot of us are letting him defeat us.  No matter what or where the defeat is…God is bigger than your problem.  We need to start making God the bigger thing in our lives instead of making the problems the biggest thing.  We act like God isn’t God.

Jesus tells us that ‘if you believe, you shall receive’ (Mark 11:24).  We don’t act like that scripture is true.  One thing, one big thing I have learned is to stop hitting people over the head with Jesus.  People are hurting and they need help.  People need answers.  God knows this but YOU are going to have to buck up and go get it.

MC Hammer had a song and in it he said, “I got to pray just to make it today.”  We don’t give prayer enough attention.  We certainly give TV enough attention.  We want to act like, be like, and look like others but the bottom line is that we are all unique.  God doesn’t need us acting like one another.  He needs YOU to be YOU.  But many of us don’t even know who we are.  We are so tangled up in life and the devil has done his best to keep us from God’s best.  But the tide is changing…..and it is changing NOW.  NOW is the time for you.  Now is the time for you to get it.

Being preached at is good (I love a good preach) but at the end of the day if you don’t know how to walk with Christ to get the victory in your life, then what good was it?  If you are not being taught “how to flesh Jesus out” in your everyday life, what was the point?

I owe God.  I need to try to fulfill my destiny here on this earth. When I kneel before the Lord, I don’t want to come up empty handed, do you?  I can just picture Him looking down at me as I kneel before Him saying to me, “Molly, why didn’t you pray and let me tell you what to do?  Molly, why did you care what everybody else thought about what you were doing?  Why weren’t you just obedient?”

Do you know what YOUR purpose is here?  Do you know what to even do?  It is time to find out.

If you will, just pray and it doesn’t have to be something big and mighty….just ask God to help show you what to do with your life and your time.  Ask Him what your purpose is, then get up, shut up and be quiet and listen.  If two or more people are telling you the same thing, then listen, 'cause God is trying to tell you something.

The hour is late and a lot of God’s children are lost…..are you?

I owe Him more than you can possibly ever imagine…..what about you?

Are you holding an I.O.U.?

Molly

Don’t give God a Black Eye!

I have been struggling the last several days in regard what to post on the BLOG this week.  What I see over and over and what the Holy Spirit is speaking to me is “Get back to basics.”

Well, Molly, what are the basics in the Kingdom of God?  They are  quite simple, really, but you would have had to have walked through “the message” of the Word to get what I am trying to say.  Most people I know don’t even have a clue about their Father in Heaven and what really is in the Word.  Jesus came to set us free indeed!  Praise God!  But, then there is the MORE of God that we seem to be missing…but it is the little things, the things that we tend to overlook that are really important.

There is an instance in the Word that needs to have a more in-depth look.  It is found in (Matthew 7: 21-23).  Jesus makes it clear that you can cast out demons and do wonders in His name but do you really do the will of the Father in Heaven?  He tells us that those who do that, practice lawlessness.  They are pretty harsh words….but I have learned just what He was saying by walking through it….

After we have gone to our churches on Sundays and worshiped however we see fit, I see people who appear to walk the walk and talk the talk of the Kingdom but yet they are not “doing God” at all.  What is happening?  God trained me on the back side of nowhere in this very area so when and IF I passed all the testing, I could be of benefit to Him and the Kingdom.  But, it wasn’t easy and it still isn’t easy.

God is clear in HIS Word that if you are faithful in the little, He will give you more….Now I know people who actually go and rebuke Satan and take authority over the Devil in far off places but their personal lives don’t mirror Jesus at all.  What do you mean by that, Molly?  The God I have come to love and adore requires that I be congruent in every facet of my life.  God requires that I align myself with HIS Word the best I know how.  Of course, this also depends on how much revelation I have at the time on a particular thing.  For example, the Bible teaches to let your ‘Yes be Yes’ and your ‘No be No.’  Anything apart from those two answers is from the evil one (Matthew 5:37).

I deal with so-called Christians all the time but what they do doesn’t line up with what they are saying to people.  It doesn’t line up with their Bible thumping, hand raising, tongue talking worship.  I wonder is it just me that feels this way?  Am I out of joint?  I always check myself first.

We wonder why we don’t see as many miracles in the Body of Christ today.  It is because we are not being obedient.  We, for the most part, have a fluff theology without any power because we can’t be faithful in the little and we are not being congruent in our thinking, our speaking and what is really in our hearts.

Something is going to have to change if we want the more of God.  I find that people are not being taught “how to walk with God”.  I mean, come on.  “What wouldn’t Jesus do?”  Well, He wouldn’t tell me He was going to do something and then not do it.  He wouldn’t NOT help the beggar on the side of the road when he is holding up a sign “Please, help me.”  He wouldn’t scream and yell.  He wouldn’t steal.  He wouldn’t do a lot of things we allow ourselves to think are covered under HIS GRACE.  We make excuses and think anything goes.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  We serve a very detailed God.  If you are in doubt of that, look at the book of Numbers in the Word.  He is very detailed.  Again, Jesus says in Matthew 5:18 “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”  We serve a God who pays attention to the little things.  If we are faithful in the little things, He will give us more.

We, on the whole, are being mislead.  When our personal lives suffer, we wonder where God is.  Then He says, “Well, did you follow through with the last task I gave you?  Were you too good to do what I told you?  Why didn’t you tithe when you were taught about it?  Why do you keep saying “Yes” to people when you know you are more than likely not going to follow through?”  God is more than a “Feel Good Religion”.  Until we actually get taught about what God does require of us, we will keep hitting our heads up against a wall while we tell ourselves we go to church and love God but then wonder why things happen to us or don't happen for us.

The Old Testament is a foreshadowing of things to come in the New Testament.  The Old Testament will really tell you about your Father in heaven.  Folks, God does not change…ever.  This fact alone has been a comfort to me.  He will never be wishy-washy with me.  I can always count on Him and lean on Him.  That gives me great comfort.  He is solid like a rock…..but He is also a disciplinarian.  But, again I need that.

Don’t tell people you are going to do something and then turn around and not do it.  I would say that in the last ten years of my life, I have tried to always let my "Yes be Yes" and my "No be No."  I don’t tell people I am going to do something if I know I will not follow through.  Years ago, someone told me, “Molly, don’t give God a black eye.”  In other words, we make God look bad as Christians when we behave any old way: when we don’t pay our bills on time, when we don’t take care of what God lets us have (homes, cars, children, money).  God wants more for us than what we have got right now but unless we are willing to “do God” His way, we will never enter into His rest for our lives while we are on earth.

I will not be the one to make God wear a big, black patch over His eye to hide the fact that I am not what I am saying I am.  Your biggest battles will be fought and your biggest victories won when NO ONE is watching.  Make no mistake about it:  God is watching and what you do in secret will be rewarded openly…it will come from your Father, not any man.  Stop being a man pleaser and start being a God pleaser.

Do God.

CCC

It is time that we get the “Eye of the Tiger” back or as I like to call it “The Eye of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah” back.  We are in days where CCC (Cotton Candy Christianity) is over.  We need to get our umph back where the living God is concerned.

I am around people who need a fresh word and a living SAVIOR to help them.  How do we do that, Molly?  Jesus Christ came to earth for us.  One of the things He came for was to “set the captive” free.  This is not only talking about people in actual prisons but people who are in prisons within themselves and don’t even know it.

I had a vision years ago.  I was at the church I attended and was on a stage walking back and forth. There were big iron bars that extended from the top of the ceiling to the floor.  People could come up to me and talk to me.  I could go and work at my desk, I could nap on my couch go around the corner to the bathroom.  I could do everything that everyone else did but I was in a prison within myself but didn’t even know it…..until Jesus came and set me free.  I see a lot of down-trodden people, like I was, who love the Lord but are in defeat.

Who do YOU say Jesus is?  There was a time in the Bible where Jesus was sitting around with all of His disciples. (Matthew 16:13-17) He asks them who He was.  This was before He had revealed Himself to them as the Christ.  Peter said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  Jesus said he was blessed because man had not revealed this to him but His Father in Heaven had.

My question to you this day is this, “Who do you say that Jesus is?”  IF He is the same Jesus in the Bible, then He still heals the sick, raises the dead and has come to set the captive free.  HE is not just some puff of smoke in outer space somewhere that you will have to deal with someday….and you will deal with Him whether you think you will or won’t.  Jesus came so we could have life and have it more abundantly but we sure aren’t acting like it.

It is time to get “the eye of the Lion of the tribe of Judah” back so you can get all that God has for you while you are here.  It is going to be up to you to go get it.  God will not do what you can do.  For example, when He tells me I need to workout so I can run the race He has set before me, I have to workout.  He is not going to do it for me.  When He tells me that I need to tithe so He can open the windows of heaven over my life, then I need to sow my money where and when He tells me….get the point?

It takes two people in this scenario and one of them has to be you.  You have to do your part.  It is quite simple…you do your part and God does His part.  But!  He will not do what you can…

It is time to get off the bench and get into this race.  It it time to get the “Eye of the Tiger” and fight for what you want.  Once you are set free and delivered, the rest will be up to you…

I have a baton in my hand and I am running my race…

Who do YOU say Jesus is?

My country ‘Tis of Thee, Sweet Land of liberty, of Thee I sing!!!!

Happy Independence Day!

Freedom.  Wow!  I was raised in a country where I have freedom: freedom of speech, freedom of choice…I have realized recently what a big deal this is.  No one can tell me what to think, what to wear, where to go or where I worship.  I have freedom.  Yet in the days that I live in, I also feel that there is a lot of coercion.  In other words, things are being said that try to get people off track making them think or do things that will only end up to their detriment.  The Bible talks about this as “Being sheep without a Shepard who are lead astray.”  Well, I can’t think of a better time in this country than now when we need someone capable of leading us.  We need someone who will stand up and fight for America just as our forefathers did.  In the days we are living in, it is critical that we do not jump the gun and make random decisions based on feelings.  We cannot miss the mark on this.  Everyone in this country has God-given rights which need to be exercised.  We need to stand together as a nation that is ‘One nation under God’.  If we don’t, we could end up in serious trouble.

We need to seek a Father’s face about what lies ahead and what we need to do about the decisions that need to be made in the upcoming months…our future depends on the right choice.  We are in turbulent times.  Nuclear holocaust cannot be reasoned over a cup of coffee.  Nations of the world need to know that there is a leader who is not going to put up with any crap. If praying to God for direction was good enough for George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, it should be good enough for us.

Which way to go?  YOU pray and ask God to lead you in the upcoming fall season as we embark on our future as a country.  Having God’s choice is more than having a good choice…

Let freedom ring.
