The Black Marker

Most people know what a Sharpie marker is.  It has many uses.  We can use a Sharpie to highlight something we have written (to show emphasis), or we can use it to completely delete something we no longer feel is useful.

I was thinking about what the Bible says for us as God’s children.  I thought of the horrible death that Jesus had to suffer (Luke 24:26) for us so that we can get back to Heaven, as long as we accept Jesus as our Savior.   I have discovered, through my personal trials and tribulations and through Christ’s atoning work on the cross, how much more we actually have available to us.  What concerns me is that we do not act like it, and on the whole, do not speak like it.

There are those who feel that today there is no such thing as divine healing.  You are Christians, you go to church, but you feel that God does not heal today.  Okay, let’s do a little exercise; there is nothing like participation!  This exercise will require your Bible and your Sharpie.  I want you to go to the New Testament and find Mark 16: 17-18.  This scripture tells us: “And these signs will follow those who believe:  In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” I want you to put a big black line through those scriptures.  How do you like the interaction so far?  Are you offended that I would ask you to do this?  If you don’t believe in healing or deliverance by the hand of God we need to delete these scriptures, don’t you think?

Now, there are those who would say I am being too extreme in my point.  But the fact remains, on the whole, we DON'T believe that Jesus has the power to heal us, set us free, provide for us and give us a better life.  Listen to and look at those around you.  They talk about defeat in some or all areas of their lives over and over again.  This is what is going on.  If we just believed, we would not be so defeated.

If pastors stood in a Sunday morning service and polled people in the congregation, how many do you think would really, really believe about healing, delivering, seeing the captive truly set free?  How many believe that if they sow their money where God guides them to, they will reap a harvest of some kind?  Or do you even know a harvest exists?  Read Genesis 8:22.  Of course, again, if you don’t believe what God says, then get out your marker.

It is time for our eyes to be opened to the “Gospel of Jesus Christ.”  This is something that is long overdue.   I am a living testimony to most everything Jesus came here for so we could gain the victory while we are on earth…

I lay the choices before you.  If you are not experiencing victory in your life, then something is wrong.  I urge you to scour this site to see the more of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  Perhaps you could take your marker and mark out those things in the Bible I have said which you do not believe.  Nevertheless, the fact remains, I have been set free, healed, delivered from all curses, present and past.  I remain sane and healthy, for the most part, and there is no reason on earth that I should be able to make that claim. It was the power of the cross that did for me what years of doctors could not.  It was supernatural.

The choice of the cross and its power is going to be up to you.  Everything in the Bible either is true and from God, or NOTHING in the Bible is true.  You cannot choose the parts you like and dislike and live your life accordingly or you will not obtain complete victory.

God bless you as you rise up to believe.  Everything (not just some things) you need is at the cross whether you choose to believe it or not.

The Hundredfold Return

We need to talk openly and honestly about “The Hundredfold Return.”  For the sake of this Blog, I will be targeting this concept alone.  I have discovered in the Word of God there can be man’s truth (which can become twisted), and then there is God’s truth…the REAL TRUTH.  When I came to the Lord I was hungry to know what was in the Word for my life.   I found I needed to be led.   I truly was lost about the things of God.   I have “walked through” the last fourteen years of my life having tried and tested most things in the Word.   Right now, my heart is grieved, due to the fact that God’s children are being misled about this very serious matter.  This confusion, if not cleared up, will cause them to suffer consequences, thinking God is not who He says He is.

Since I have been solely raised by faith, I can tell you that at one time I believed I could sow any amount of money and get back a hundredfold return.  I believed this due to the teaching I received coupled with my total ignorance in the ways of God.   I read the section in the Bible that talks about the hundredfold return and since I had no clue what it was talking about, I took the word of a very famous individual and believed what he said about this would come to pass.  Each time I sowed any money, I claimed a hundredfold return.   I truly looked for it.   I believed that if I sowed ten dollars, I would receive 100.00.

What I learned as I continued to do this was the revelation that sowing money in this way was not a guarantee I would receive a hundredfold return in cash.  If God’s will was that I not receive money as I sowed, then I did not receive money.  Maybe His will was for me to receive a thirty, sixty or hundredfold return in some other area of my life where I needed something other than money.   I can tell you from having pushed the envelope of Heaven in regard to this issue, I had been misled.   There were certainly times when I sowed money and got back money but it wasn’t always a hundredfold.  The thinking of this concept is immature and it is not from heaven but not knowing that at the time is actually how I learned the truth.   There is more to this scripture than meets the “eye” being revealed by the spirit.

I learned the hard way that you can’t just pull any scripture out of the Word of God and claim it to be something that it is not.   If your motives (and God knows your heart) are self-seeking, do not think God is going to honor that.

The scripture we need to go to is found in Matthew 13:23.  The Word is crystal clear on what the hundredfold return is and how it is dispersed.   The scripture is talking about an individual hearing and receiving “the Word” of God, doing what it says and then because of what he has heard and done with it, produces for the Kingdom in his or her life (and destiny), some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

The people Christ is talking about receiving these different amounts of return are those who have received “the Word” on good ground (solid teaching).  When “the truth” of the Word is brought to bear in a situation by faith, it causes you to obtain what God has for you but this in no way says, “If you sow 100.00, you are going to receive 1000.00.”   Do you actually think Jesus would have said that?  Knowing the Word of God and exercising the truths that God has firmly established in this earth will cause you to triumph in obtaining what God has for you.  But when you take to heart lies that follow human reasoning in regard to the hundredfold return, you are only allowing yourself to be deceived.  When people get in radical money binds, they will believe anything they hear that gives them a momentary “fix.”  I did.   Do you actually think God wants this kind of capricious existence for His children?

I have been sent to “bring to the light what is in the dark.” Now, you can keep on believing someone else with what is in your wallet, or you can wake up, get in the Word of God for yourself, and find out the truth like I did.   Do not take anyone else’s word for what is in the Word of God or you are only harming yourself.  God wants more for you in this life than for you to use Him in that way and that is what you are doing.   Yes, God has put out the fires in my life more than once over the past fourteen years as I have learned to trust Him to meet all of my needs. But, you have to come to the place in your life and learn that money is only a tool for you…it is not the “end” to the means.  You will always have to have money and God knows this.

However, understand this-just because God raised a ministry up giving them monetary blessings to fulfill HIS will, giving them hundredfold returns, does not mean He is going to do the same for you.  God is such an individual God that YOUR path and YOUR life might have similar aspects to the ones who preach the Gospel in the body of Christ, but it doesn’t mean you can clump God into some hundredfold formula and get what you want.  You are misled if you believe this.

The Holy Spirit is grieved.  And I can tell you one thing: this kind of prosperity preaching is over in the Kingdom.  Yes, God does want you to have an abundant life but abundancy isn't always in the form of a dollar.

What is Truth?

Definition: 1. In accordance with fact; accurate; genuine. 2 truly, accurately.

I had someone tell me once that what I was teaching, preaching and believing was “my truth”.  When the statement was made to me, it took me aback as it always does when I encounter someone who really doesn’t believe in Christ as our Savior, our great physician and most importantly, our deliverer.  I was sitting there imagining my mouth hanging wide open, so much so that a bird could have actually flown in it.  I was astonished at the remark and I believe this remark was made by a Christian,  although they never said they were one.

It is 2011.  I am very well aware of it because as time goes by, I get older!  So make no mistake; I am cognizant of time, whether it is chronological or having to do with the timeline of our history.  I am fully in the present.  There are many who believe that because we are in 2011, we need an updated version of the word of God.  Some believe (believe?) that because we are in this time in our history that God has changed.  WE think that because we are so intelligent, God somehow has become antiquated in His way of thinking.  Some feel we need a “New Age” religion to go with the times we are in.  With that being stated, we are in a time of great unrest not only in our country, but also within the lives of all human beings…

New Age or watered-down religion is not delivering people who need to be set free.  I can tell you from experience that we not only have a healer on the throne but a deliverer and a wonderful counselor who is ready, willing and very able to come down into our lives and help us.  This help is available to us no matter how big or small the need is. Whether it is to get the best buy on a pair of tennis shoes to delivering us and healing us from dreaded diseases, know that this help is there for the asking.  If you choose not to believe this then you are being hoodwinked (lied to) by the devil.  There is but one truth.  I have never heard a testimony by anyone who went to the Dalai Lama and was immediately delivered from cigarettes and drugs.  I never heard anyone say, “He has made my life better and I feel peace and am no longer tormented in my soul.” I have never heard anyone rich or famous say Scientology saved a sick loved one by the touch of the anointing of Christ.  I have never heard anyone say that Muhammad turned their whole life around and delivered them from feelings of lifelong defeat.  I have never heard anyone say he helped them gain back confidence which was lost from years of being pounded down by others…NO!  I have never heard any such thing.

My truth?  There is a Christ whose name is Jesus who is alive and well and on the throne.  There was a man who was born so He could die and defeat Satan so YOU could get the victory in this earth in every area of your life, whether it be financially, personally or any other way you need it.  The others are just plastic idols that too need a Savior.  Wearing a bracelet won't ward off evil spirits.  You need to have the power of Jesus the Christ.

When you keep going around the same ‘ole bend week after week and year after year, something isn’t right and YOU need to find out who really is called  “THE TRUTH”.  Of course, be aware that Satan masquerades as an angel of light and he will try to stop you from learning the real truth.  He comes through friends, loved ones and people you would never imagine who pretend to follow God.

My Truth?  I got the genuine victory…the real deal.  Have you?
